Most beloved, yeah I understand that. Archie has spand 4 decades of lore in the state of Mississippi, and Peyton and Eli have only helped at to it today IMO.

I wasnt around for Archie (unless you are way older than I thought, you werent either unless you fudged some birth certificates at Rye Cove! hahaha), so I dont understand his impact but I cant imagine any other player having the media latched on their balls like Tebow had/has.

I was kinda surprised not to see more SEC players, like Billy Cannon. LSU guys still talk about him to this day, same with guys like Bo Jackson, Hershel Walker, etc..

I do not believe that Colt McCoy is anywhere NEAR as beloved as Hershel Walker is in the state of Georgia

I agree. Colt isn't jack compared to the legends of Walker and Jackson at UGA and Auburn. I think it shows how flawed the list is when has two players from one university. I wasn't around for Archie, but know enough because of Peyton and Eli to realize his impact. He is still the golden boy at Ole Miss to this day, and people loved him because he was phenomenal at New Orleans on such terrible teams, taking beatings and getting right back up. With Peyton and Eli's success it has kept Archie in the minds of not only those his age, but those my age and younger that never saw him play.

hell I would argue that a guy like Van Tiffin, the Bama kicker, is more beloved at his school than McCoy is at Texas
